Award Show 2025

The Jules Bauer Memorial Award was established by his family after his death in November, 1980. A former president of the New Rochelle Art Association, he also served as chairman of the Municipal Art Commission and on the Board of Governors at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center. The show is open to all exhibiting members of the Association, with a cash prize in Jules Bauer’s name to be awarded for best watercolor. Ribbons will also be awarded for outstanding entries in all media.

The Jules Bauer Award goes to the Best Watercolor with a cash prize of $200. Additionally, ribbons will be awarded for outstanding entries in all media and a Best of Show award. The judge is Elana Kaplan who was an educator at the Metropolitan Museum for 25 years.

Please note: Each member in invited to exhibit 3 pieces.

Drop-off and hang: Sunday, June 27, Noon -1:00pm

Reception: Thursday, July 10, 6 - 7:30PM

Take Down: Friday, August 15, 12 - 1PM
